She sat upon a Blue moon
with her knee tucked under her chin
a silhouette - the dancer in repose
she tilted her head to the kiss of the summer wind
listening to the winsome call of a long winged sea bird
translucent white feathers
gliding above the jade curl
lapping at the edge of a dream
her eyes would soften
watching the waves slip under each other
and pause in the elegant glint
of smooth stones under the spell of the tides
each carrying a story, polished by time
she raised a finger to her lips
and cast her moon beam shadow across the sea
and whispered to the night
her verse poured quietly into the glistening stars
and there,
at the edge of a dream
I look into the void, and look within
and here,
I listen with my heart
and feel the poetry of love ~
