a parade, a parallel
of bystanders and the bored
in the heat of may
march march march
clomp clump thump
a robotic chorus
A sharp dissonance
black vibrato
misconstrued
this celebration of the casualities
they
push push pushing through
the clattering streets
they
the blind and self righteous
screaming , expecting
they
folded arms tired legs
stare in repose
behind the plastic barricades
chains and crosses
shove shove shoving
for a better look
oh
for a moment
a glimpse , a gap
to silence the noise
drown the fear
of remembrance
or being lost
in the hearts
of the missed
and the forgotten
