Climb!
climb climb climb
to a plateau
a mesa
a stage -
ten thousand million nanometers high
above - alone
step to the edge - gracefully
look down
perspectives
faces in the corner of your eye - strangers
maybe a blood relative or two - that gene thing
and dark matters
your up there, and remember you have vertigo
the world tilts, and you have nothing to hold to
so you fall
before judges , ready to judge
you an exercise of rehearsal
execution of an object in motion
twistflipanothertwistasnap - fists to the water !
the splash
transition -
under you go
eyes slowly open
you touch the bottom
and pause
to watch the bubbles
atmosphere fighting for the only way it knows back to the surface
and you think of
zwicky lenses, and how perhaps a supernova just went critical somewhere
and consider trying to breathe underwater
in the grace of a nereid's kiss
the light - refracts - it's a time thing
as the need for air builds , yet you still wait
and the crowd wonders, perhaps a few holding their breath too
and soon like those silver bubbles
find yourself again, at the surface
to one more breath
one more climb
one more dive ~
